Marvel Star Chris Evans Just Sold His Hollywood Hills Home for $5.4 Million By Wendy Bowman

Chris Evans has officially said goodbye to his serene Hollywood Hills retreat high above Mulholland Drive. Born and raised near Boston, the actor previously shared that he is offloading the property to spend more time with family on the East Coast.

First offered for sale in May 2025 with a nearly $7 million price tag, the home was relisted last June for $6.4 million before ultimately closing at the end of August for $5.385 million. The final figure sits about $1.86 million above what Evans originally paid for the hillside spread in spring 2013—just two years after launching his lucrative 11-film run as Captain America (aka Steve Rogers) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Completed in the 1940s and since renovated, the beige stucco and stone structure is sequestered behind greenery-encased walls and security gates on three-quarters of an acre. Four bedrooms and half a dozen bathrooms are spread across roughly 4,600 square feet of split-level living space designed by Stewart-Gulrajani, with rustic hardwood floors, soaring exposed-beam ceilings, and large windows capturing scenic canyon and mountain views.

An elegant living room winds its way to a formal dining room with a wet bar, while a family room opens to an alfresco dining terrace via floor-to-ceiling glass doors. Nearby, a skylit kitchen has Bianca marble countertops and a 60-inch Wolf range beneath a custom 10-foot hood.

In addition to a secluded primary suite featuring a private ipe wood deck, dressing room, and limestone and Calacatta marble bath, other highlights include a one-bedroom guesthouse with a full kitchen, plus its own living and dining area. The custom in-house gym where Evans famously trained for his superhero roles has since been removed.

Vineyard-inspired gardens shaded by mature coral trees join a free-form pool and spillover spa, a fire pit lounge, and a trellised dining area. There’s also a lounging perch overlooking sweeping vistas of Mulholland and Laurel canyons and the Santa Monica Mountains beyond.
